Greg started playing at age 13 at Brighton Secondary School.
After his graduation, he was offered a scholarship to the AIS and moved to
Canberra at 17 years of age in 2006. The AIS team won an AVL title that year.
From 2007-2009 he played two seasons in Sweden, both years with three other
Aussies in the team and an Australian coach. For the 2009/2010 season he played
in Poland and won the Division 1 Championships with Kielce. In the 2010/2011
season he played in Slovakia winning the Slovak Cup, and in 2011 he was
selected for Aus Men’s team and participated in Asian Championships: this was
his first real chance to represent Australia in a major senior competition. He decided
to remain in Slovakia for 2011/2012 season accompanied by another Aussie player
and together we managed win the Slovak League; then he was selected as part of
the Team that qualified for London Olympics in 2012. For 2012/2013 he stayed in
Australia helping the AIS team win AVL and then being part of the Team that
qualified for the World Championships. Recently he played in Latvia for the
2013/2014 club season managing to win the Latvian League, 2014/15 in Lebanon and 2015/16 in Romania with CSM Bucarest.
He has been selected for all the major tournaments with the Volleyroos from 2012 onwards.
