Max first started playing volleyball at Rossmoyne
Senior High School in 2009, playing in the West Australian Schools Cup and
National Schools Cup competitions. He was offered an AIS scholarship at the end
of 2010 and moved to Canberra at the start of 2011 to train full-time whilst
completing High School. 

During this time max competed at two world youth
beach volleyball tournaments with a best result of fifth. Max played Asian Junior championships in 2012.He has been playing professionally since 2013 in France, Netherlands and Belgium(Noliko Maaseik). He earned in spot in the Senior Team since 2015 Asian Championship in Iran.
