Ben first started playing volleyball at Craigslea
State High School in 2003, playing in the Queensland Schools Cup and National
Schools Cup competitions. He was offered an AIS scholarship at the end of 2005
and moved to Canberra at the start of 2006 to train full-time whilst completing
High School. 

At the completion of his High School, he
moved back to his hometown of Brisbane and played two years of Beach
Volleyball, competing in the World Junior Championships in 2009. In late 2009
he joined Linkoping Volleyball Club in Sweden and played there for two seasons,
winning the Championship in the 2009/2010 Season. He then signed with RWE
Volleys Bottrop in Germany, playing one season. He was first selected for the
Australian National Team in 2013 and has most recently played for Slapsk
Suwalki in Poland, Linkoping Club in Sweden and Marienlyst in Denmark.
